As a casual playing on All Star difficulty (right in the middle), not competing online and primarily playing the dynasty modes, NBA 2K25 fits like a snug leather glove for my gaming needs.
Yes, I’m that kind of gamer, the one that plays RPGs and FPSs on easy mode.
Just to pass the time, have a little fun, and still enjoy this generation of console graphics.
Some people hate the game though because of issues of pay-to-win and microtransactions.
The game does gets heinous when it comes to the “spend real money modes” of MyTeam and especially MyCareer.
I can only imagine being a parent of a kid who wants to run up their character with real money after the expensive game and console have already been bought.
If you just want to recreate a season setting with drafts, trades (Free Nico), and strategic adjustments, the authenticity captured is second to none.
It’s all about expectations.
It’s the king of the hill of sports video games although the critically-acclaimed and fan-beloved College Football is giving it a run for its money.
One area where I admit 2K slacked is with the MyNBA eras mode. Losing licenses to several players and adding the Steph Era which seems underdeveloped and is missing key players like John Wall.
So who won the championship of the sports games titles?
